Indigenous Veterans Day
On November 8 SD8 pays tribute to the First Nations, M茅tis and Inuit peoples in times of war and peace.
Indigenous peoples have fought and died on behalf of Canadians for the last two centuries and continue to protect and serve in Canada鈥檚 military today.
There are 23 thousand Indigenous Veterans and more than 55 hundred Indigenous members serving in Canada鈥檚 military.
SD8 respectfully thanks Indigenous veterans for their service.
